Merford Special Doors sets high standards for its products. This is true not only of production, but also of installation and service. We have ISO-9001 and VCA** certification. Our steel doors and grilles also conform to the requirements of the VMRG quality mark.

Safe and careful installation

All our doors are made to measure according to the customer’s wishes. Our expert and experienced fitters can of course also take care of supply and installation. They use professional tools to this end, including an installation robot. In this way Merford is able to ensure safe and careful installation.

Warranty

Merford Special Doors offers a one to five-year warranty on doors and grilles. This warranty is linked to the VMRG quality mark. Merford Special Doors is a member of the VMRG (the Netherlands Metal Window and Curtain Wall Manufacturers’ Association) and has been awarded the VMRG quality mark for steel. The terms and conditions associated with this quality mark include the warranty conditions (Article 14).

In accordance with the terms and conditions of the VMRG, where Merford uses materials or services supplied by third parties, the warranty conditions of this supplier or subcontractor apply.

Merford Special Doors offers a five-year decreasing warranty on the paint on doors and grilles. Preservation is carried out according to the guidelines of the paint supplier. Should Merford products fail to meet the required standards despite our care, please contact us.

Maintenance contract

Merford Special Doors manufactures functional doors. It is important that the operation and the function of the door are guaranteed for the future. Regular maintenance is very important whatever the function of your door – fire resistance, sound insulation or air-tightness. This is why Merford offers customised maintenance contracts.

With a maintenance contract you not only extend the service life of your doors, you also fulfil the statutory obligation of annual maintenance (according to the requirements of NEN-EN 12635). A maintenance contract provides certainty regarding the annual performance of preventive maintenance (including checks on functionality, hinges and locks, seals, etc). In this way you are fully aware of the condition of your doors at all times. Depending on their use, regular maintenance of our doors may need to be more frequent. This is the responsibility of the owner or user of the door. Your specific wishes concerning maintenance can be set out in the maintenance contract. Good (preventive) maintenance will help you avoid unexpected repair costs. Maintenance work on our special doors must be carried out by a suitably qualified person. Our installation staff are VCA** certified for installation and maintenance work.
