A burglar-resistant door with anti-panic lock

Inbraakwerendheid volgens WK II en WK III (EN 1627)
Anti-paniek (EN 179 / EN 1125)

Merford Special Doors has developed a burglar-resistant door which can also be used as an escape door. This combination is unique in the Netherlands. Consequently, it is no longer necessary to make concessions as regards safety and burglar resistance.

A door which is burglar-resistant and, at the same time, can be used as an escape door. This sounds contradictory because an escape door has to be easy to open and a burglar-resistant door the opposite. Merford Special Doors has developed a door which incorporates both features and which can also be designed to be sound-insulating, fire-resistant and ballistic resistant. In order to prevent the anti-panic lock being accessed from outside, the burglar-resistant door is fitted with a drill-through safeguard. The door the acts as an escape door without this detracting from its burglar-resistant qualities. A special construction is woven into the burglar-resistant door to strengthen it. This means no additional locks are needed. Among other things, the standard burglar-resistant door also has an extra overlap on the closing side and a dimensionally stable hinge construction.
