The Haestinge sport and community centre in Sint-Maartensdijk (in the municipality of Tholen) was established in 1969. The building has become so run-down since then that it was decided to replace it with an entirely new centre, built on the existing site. The new building will accommodate a concert hall, sports hall, youth centre, multifunctional hall and rehearsal rooms. The multifunctional centre will be opened officially in February 2011. Merford supplied double-leaf doors for the rehearsal rooms, provided with a window and with a 56 dB sound-insulating value. These doors were also supplied for the main hall, but without the windows. They were installed one after another with a space in between to create an even higher level of sound insulation.
