By combining fire resistance and sound insulation in one door you no longer have to choose between fire resistance and sound insulation. There is no longer any need for double walls or doors and unnecessary corridors. You are therefore able to make more efficient use of the available space and this in turn generates more design freedom. EN 1634-1 is the new European fire standard which comes into effect in 2010.
MFT fire doors
The MFT type fire door complies with the new European fire standard (EN 1634-1) which is soon to apply to the whole of Europe. This new standard is going to replace the current NEN 6069 standard. The fire resistance of this door is certified in accordance with EN 1634-1. In the Netherlands the requirement is that, depending on the design, the MFT door must be fire-resistant for up to 120 minutes. A major advantage of the MFT door is that it combines a high degree of fire resistance with a high level of sound insulation. MFT sound-insulating fire doors are also available as escape doors.Available in combination with:
